This is the graphic I was look­ing for. 1980 is 100, which, when you con­sider the seem­ingly pro­found dif­fer­ences in the qual­ity of life today ver­sus 40 years ago makes the resilient con­fi­dence in the midst of the Viet­nam War, cul­ture shock and pro­found racial unrest, remarkable.
