Billy Name’s photos are missing

The iconic photos of the early Warhol era were taken by a young man named Billy Name, one-time Warhol paramour and a peripheral member of the rolling party surrounding Warhol The New York Times today has a story about how the negatives to Name’s photos are missing.

The life he’s lived for the past 40 years appears simple and contained. He saw enough to last him a lifetime, I guess. The photos have been his anchor and his income over the years.
