Billy Name’s photos are missing

The iconic pho­tos of the early Warhol era were taken by a young man named Billy Name, one-time Warhol para­mour and a periph­eral mem­ber of the rolling party sur­round­ing Warhol The New York Times today has a story about how the neg­a­tives to Name’s pho­tos are missing.

The life he’s lived for the past 40 years appears sim­ple and con­tained. He saw enough to last him a life­time, I guess. The pho­tos have been his anchor and his income over the years.
