My name is Dan McCarthy. I’m a media pro­fes­sional and a writer. I’m mar­ried to the woman who helped me find my muse and I’m the dad to five incred­i­ble kids. All these iden­ti­ties inter­twine — my pri­mary pas­sion is find­ing the story in things and telling it.

For more than 15 years, I suf­fered from a debil­i­tat­ing writer’s block. In 2008, I was able to work through it enough to begin writ­ing cre­atively again. This is my per­sonal blog.

Some of my work is avail­able on Scribd and I enjoys hav­ing con­ver­sa­tions about art, cre­ativ­ity and writ­ing on Twit­ter.

things that evoke

things that intrigue.

and things that I’m writ­ing, because writ­ing is a path to explor­ing, under­stand­ing and enriching.
